| For those of you wise enough to book part of your needs when the $220.00 was available can now add to your deck by purchasing OND at $260, thus giving yourselves a $240 average. A number I doubt you will see for Canola alone for some time to come. need to be made aware of a coming problem. Soon it may not be possible
to buy spot loads of all the various commodities that you are used to.
Why? Rail car premiums were $600 per car last week, they are $1,200 today. The pool of cars gets smaller because the RR has made private car ownership unprofitable while adding no new cars themselves. Add this to the move toward unit train rates on everything and bingo! shortages arise here in the West at the end of the line. Shippers will not continue to send flat priced inventory into a falling market and lose money. The luxury of always picking up the phone and getting whatever you want delivered tomorrow may soon disappear... | ||

| I have been able to source some new crop corn germ at $170.00 del.; the spread of $8.00 against the Corn Gluten we did last week is historically correct. Give me a call if we can do something. Most of last weeks gluten business was based on one half of people need and I think that is appropriate here. Thanks, WES | ||
